OK, so you’ve got your Arena, you’re still getting to grips with it; creating menu short cuts and fiddling with the ring tones and things but it’s the email that I find the most tricky to sort out. It can be a pain in the a$%e to set up, in my humble opinion, and always takes the longest of all the features in your phone to organise.
If you’re looking for some tips on how to sync up your email accounts on your KM900, check out Knowyourmobile.com. They’ve got an all-encompassing, how-to on the subject.
You’ll be able to have your server and web based email trussed up in their relative accounts in no time.
T-Mobile recently announced that they will be stocking the LG Arena in “titan black”.
The new moodier hue will be exclusive to T-Mobile UK customers and should be available to buy at the end of the month. The rest of the networks will have to make do with mediocre silver.
The LG Arena’s two biggest retailers are fighting over who has the correct release date for the phone. Expansys.co.uk and Mobiles.co.uk both have contradictory information about when the LG KM900 is available for purchasing.
Expansys’ “expected release date” is 10th April for a SIM-free handset costing £425. Mobiles.co.uk are offering to ship the phone on the 27 March (that’s this Friday) but you’ll have to sign with a network provider to secure an order.
Ordering your phone from Mobiles.co.uk works out cheaper than buying through Expansys but there are, of course other options if you want to get your phone through a specific contract.
You can get the phone for free on O2 if you sign up to a 24 month contract and through T-Mobile you can get the phone for £180 on a 12 month package.
All quiet on the LG Arena front. There was such a fanfare of excitement when the phone was unveiled in February but since then it’s all but dried up. The LG Blog hasn’t even updated its page since the 27th of February. Come on guys all I want is a crumb of news, just a new video, anything. We’re desperate here! So unfortunately there’s no new news but there is another informative video about how the KM900, straight from the LG Blog itself. It is over 2 weeks old though. Sad face.
I do like the fact that all LG staff, no matter how high up have to include the grey/pink palette into their outfits making them all look like past-it air stewards on a Latvian Airlines flight circa ‘97.
LG are really pulling out all the stops in promoting their new KM900 handset. This very, very slick LG Arena website is proof of it. Have fun waving your cursor over the white cubes and see them pop out in all their 3D glory. Plus it’s quite informative as well.
It’s all quiet on the LG Arena front today, so I’ve decided to post up another video, this time from MWC, to help you all remember why we’re all so desperate for this handset.
This is one of the best reviews of the LG I’ve seen.
It’s not the newest of clips but the guy doing the commmentary takes you through the phone’s menus and operating systems. There’s some great detailed coverage of how the widgets work aswell as some pretty impressive video of the unique scrolling system in action.
Even though it was only officially announced less than a month ago, LG Arena KM900 is already the most popular kid in class. More than 1 million KM900’s have been pre-ordered, worldwide.
